Message from our Camp Lead, Dr Zoe Miller

Over the course of nearly 20 years working in several areas of international education, I have constantly focused on analyzing the areas in which learners struggle most. My goal has been to  develop different techniques based on a variety of research in cognitive development, learning behavior, and educational psychology to support students throughout their learning journey, empowering them to become independent learners and critical thinkers.

After creating The Human History Project, I wanted an additional way to make the skill-building approach of the full program available to as many students as possible around the world, which led to the creation of the Time to Thrive Skills Camp.

Each week is structured around how students learn best. We use short, focused teaching followed by guided practice so new ideas become usable skills. Students revisit key skills across the week through spaced practice and retrieval activities, which strengthens memory and understanding. Tasks are scaffolded with checklists, models, and success criteria so students can work independently with confidence, then gradually take on more challenges as they improve.

History is the perfect training ground for this approach. It develops critical thinking, analysis, evidence use, and clear writing because students learn to ask better questions, evaluate sources, compare viewpoints, and support claims with strong reasoning. I’m excited to welcome learners from around the world and help them build a practical toolkit for school and beyond, with work they can be proud of at the end of every week.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I have to book all 4 weeks?

No. You can choose to book 1, 2, 3, or all 4 weeks.

Will my child have to attend Week 1 for Week 2 to make sense?

No. Each week can stand alone or with other weeks. At the beginning of each week, students will receive a video lesson covering any information or concepts they need to understand beforehand.

How can I choose the correct cohort for my child?

After completing your booking and payment, you will be directed to a download page where you can download your booking confirmation. The booking confirmation includes a link to the registration form where you will provide all required information and select your preferred cohort (and your preferred weeks if you have booked a multi-week bundle).

Are live sessions recorded in case my child misses one?

All live sessions are recorded and made available to all students enrolled in the same week through the online classroom. Live session recordings will only be available on the platform and will NOT be available for download.

Are recordings made publicly available?

No recordings will be made available to the public outside of the classroom community. If the company wishes to use certain parts of recordings for marketing or other purposes, any students and their parents/guardians involved will be asked for permission beforehand. No recordings will be used publicly without explicit permission.

How much support do I need to provide as a parent?

The program is designed to encourage independence and require minimal parental support. You may need to help your child test that everything works before the week begins and login on Day 1 if needed. Encourage consistent attendance during live sessions and ask one simple daily question such as: What did you learn today and what are you working on next? This keeps students accountable while protecting independence.

Are group sessions supervised?

Yes, all group sessions are supervised by our camp counselors, who are also available to provide support or answer questions when needed.

How can I book multiple weeks?

You can book multiple weeks by booking the 2-Week Bundle, the 3-Week Bundle, or the 4-Week Bundle. All bundles are accessible above the FAQ section. You will be able to select your preferred weeks in the registration form after your payment is confirmed.
